OPTIONAL CLERMONT SERVICE
UV water treatment installation in Clermont
UV water treatment uses ultraviolet light as water passes through a treatment chamber. For a Clermont home, it is an optional, separately quoted step considered for a defined water concern, not part of the $2,999* softener and RO package.
Optional upgrade. Quoted separately, not included in the $2,999* softener + RO package.
Discuss my installation ↗What UV treatment does and does not do
UV treatment has a different purpose from softening and reverse osmosis. Performance depends on the selected unit, flow, water clarity, lamp condition and maintenance. UV does not remove hardness or dissolved material and is not a response to every taste or scale concern.
A lit lamp by itself does not demonstrate treatment performance. Before choosing UV, discuss the water source, reason for treatment, operating conditions and response to power loss or an equipment fault.
Does a Clermont home need UV?
Not automatically. First identify the provider on the drinking-water bill and the concern to be addressed. The City of Clermont water-quality archive is utility-monitoring information; it does not establish that every home needs UV.
For a private well or specific concern, appropriate testing may be needed before selecting treatment. Continue to follow current utility or public-health instructions during any advisory rather than substituting this page or an unspecified system for those instructions.
Water clarity, flow and installation access
The sales team asks about source water, existing treatment, plumbing access, available power and equipment space before scheduling. Water clarity and peak household flow matter, and some conditions may require pre-treatment.
The layout needs room for routine lamp and sleeve access as well as plumbing isolation. These qualification questions happen before the installer arrives; there is no separate preliminary visit for standard installation planning.
UV upkeep
Plan for electricity use, lamp replacement, sleeve cleaning and attention to any indicator or alarm. Water conditions can affect cleaning needs. Follow the operating and maintenance instructions supplied for the selected system.
If equipment loses power or signals a fault, follow the instructions for that system and the treatment plan established for the water source. Do not assume untreated water has the same treatment status.
A separate UV quote
UV equipment and installation are priced separately. The $2,999* base offer remains the whole-home salt-based softener plus under-sink RO with standard installation at a suitable city-water home.
The UV quote should distinguish the add-on, any necessary pre-treatment and nonstandard plumbing or electrical work. A request begins a conversation and does not book or collect payment.
